While grocery delivery is one of the things I happily spend money on to save time for my family of seven, I still like to stop by Costco from time to time to see what’s on sale. I especially like to do this during the changing seasons so I can see what affordable seasonal items are in stock. I was in for a treat on my last trip.
Last week I went on one of these discovery tours and was immediately drawn to a beautiful and functional seasonal item that I know will make our summer (and year-round!) a lot smoother: a 7-pack of Lazy Susan melamine. is back in stock and available in store for just $19.99. This first hit shelves in March and I was happy to see it came back almost immediately after selling out! Designed for serving, this lazy susan is a great addition to all other lazy susans and is perfect for countertop storage, pantry storage, and even refrigerator organization.
Made from durable melamine, the 15-inch Lazy Susan can be used safely both indoors and outdoors, and its smart and convenient features are perfect for summer entertaining. It comes in white and black, blue and black, and the intricate decorative design makes it look like a fine piece of pottery. With a central bowl and five removable sections around it, you can use it to portion several different types of snacks and appetizers, or use it as a server for chips and dips. It’s also great for taco filling or dinner! It’s big enough to feed a crowd without the need for constant restocking, and it’s dishwasher safe.
However, three of the best features of this lazy Susan I didn’t notice until I brought her home. First, it has an eighth component: the lid, which is a complete game changer! This means I can fill it before it’s snack time or guests and set it aside without worrying about the food going bad (or worse, being noticed by pests). I can also store chilled food in it, close the lid and put it all in the freezer for smoother prep. The lid also means I can take a supply of Lazy Susan with me to parties that aren’t being held at my house!
In addition to the lid, the Lazy Susan has four flat plastic feet on the bottom to prevent slipping. The item will sit securely on a counter or table while a pair of hands (many of them kids!) reach for snacks, keeping clutter to a minimum. Finally – and I know it’s obvious from the name, but it didn’t click until I used it the first time – the part spun! Everyone can choose what they want without having to ignore everything else or ask anyone to pass anything on.
I loaded up my new hosting with today’s after school goodies and am looking forward to using it this summer! With so many great features, I know this product will be used all year round for years to come, on special fun days and regular days alike. This was a great find at Costco and I’m so glad I bought it before it disappeared!
If you don’t live near a Costco, haven’t decided whether a membership is worth it, or prefer to shop from home, don’t worry. Amazon sells the same melamine Lazy Susan for a few dollars more. Happy hosting! Buy: Set of 7 Melamine Lazy Susan (with lid), $29.99.
